University Advancement serves the university community to advance, support, and sustain the innovative mission and strategic ambitions of Sam Houston State University through comprehensive engagement and philanthropic partnerships. 

Our department focuses on building strong relationships with external audiences to support SHSU’s mission. Through fundraising, alumni engagement, data management, and the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, we work together to create a thriving philanthropic community and enhance resources for students, faculty, facilities, and research.
