TEST OPTIONS AND APPOINTMENTS (Huntsville Campus)

  • Remote Test Option: ATB tests can be taken at another ATB-approved site only. Examinees should inquire with the SHSU Testing Center by email (ctr@shsu.edu) or phone (936-294-1025) to verify if an ATB-approved test site is in their vicinity.
  • In-Person Option:Click here for available test dates and times.
  • Report time: Report to the testing site at least 15-30 minutesbefore your scheduled testing time.
  • Exam length: Ability to Benefit tests are untimed, but take approximately 1.5-2 hours to complete

 

Registration/Administration Test Fee 

  • First attempt fee: $53.50  
  • Retest fee: 
    • 1 subject area: $18.50 
      • 2 subject areas: $33.50 
      • 3 subject areas: $53.50 
  • After you complete your exam, your Accuplacer scores are immediately accessible to your academic advisor or program.
  • Accuplacer scores can also be accessed in the Accuplacer Student Portal.
  • Students must wait 14 days from the most recent exam date to retake the Ability to Benefit tests in the same subject.
  • The Testing Center must receive documentation of your accommodation at least two weeks in advance of your scheduled test date.
  • Accommodation requests are processed through the Services for Students with Disabilities Office.
