Create a Student Organization

With over 200 student clubs or organizations at Sam Houston State University, all Bearkats have an opportunity to find their community. They can also create their own. Through BearkatHQ, you can officially start your own organization in just a few easy steps. Once approved, your group will be discoverable by the entire campus community and plugged into SHSU’s network of student life tools.

To create a new organization on campus, you must provide the following information:

1. A list of at least five student members
2. The name and SHSU email of the organization’s faculty/staff advisor
3. A constitution that adheres to the Constitution Checklist on the Student Involvement Website (There is a sample constitution for you to reference as you build your own)
