The Global Engagement Center strives to lead in shaping global citizenry among the SHSU community. Through innovative opportunities offered locally and globally within experiential learning, academic research, and professional development.
Mission
The Global Engagement Center fosters a campus culture that embraces intercultural engagement by providing exemplary services to our campus community. Our guiding principle is “Put Students First.” We lead and support campus initiatives that give students the opportunity to become global citizens prepared for the opportunities that they will face in the 21st century. Our GEC team works together to help both domestic and international students achieve their academic and professional goals.

Appointments
The GEC accepts appointments through Campus Connect in person or virtually. Our availability falls under the student resources appointment type.
GEC Walk-In Hours:
Mon - Tue: 9am-11am
Wed - Thu: 2pm-4pm
In-person walk-in advising takes place in Farrington Building Room 116.
