Facilities Management

SHSU Facilities Management handles work requests, vehicles, building access, dorm maintenance, environmental health services and more. They also provide students with the shuttle service, Kat Tracks.

​At Sam Houston State University, Facilities Management is dedicated to creating and maintaining safe, efficient, and welcoming environments that support the success of our students, faculty, and staff.

We provide essential services including submitting and fulfilling work requests, vehicle rentals and maintenance, and convenient campus transportation through the Kat Tracks shuttle.

Our team ensures secure building access, coordinates moves and hauling needs, manages warehouse inventory, and maintains clean, comfortable residence halls.

We are also committed to environmental health and safety, safeguarding the campus community and promoting sustainability.

Through thoughtful space planning and responsive service, Facilities Management enhances the daily experience at SHSU and exemplifies our university’s commitment to excellence and service in every corner of campus life.

​​Kat Tracks​

​​Kat Tracks was established to provide free transportation to local supermarkets for students during the fall and spring semesters. The current route picks up students outside of four dorms and transports them to HEB, Walmart, and Target. Schedule changes each semester.​
