All student and alumni data shared via Bearkats Get Hired is protected under FERPA. Resume books and referrals are accessible only with student/alumni consent and must be used solely for hiring purposes within your organization.

SHSU’s employer services primarily support direct-hire positions with salary or hourly compensation.

Not permitted to recruit or post positions:

• Multi-level marketing (MLM) companies
• Employers requiring upfront purchases
• Commission-only roles (unless clearly disclosed)

Third-party recruiters must:

• Disclose the employer they represent
• Confirm applicants will not be charged any fees

Cancellations & Refunds

• Refunds available before the event deadline (see event registration form)
• Requests must be submitted in writing on company letterhead
• Option to apply your payment to a future event
• Refunds are processed through SHSU’s Business Office

Late Arrivals & No-Shows

• Call 936-294-4454 if running late
• Unnotified late arrivals may forfeit their table to walk-in employers
• No refunds for no-shows

Table Assignments

• Assigned based on display needs, recruiter count, and competing organizations
• Tables are not shareable
• Requests to move must be approved by the Career Fair Coordinator or Director

Eligibility:

• Only direct-hire organizations recruiting for internships or degree-required roles may conduct interviews.

Process:

• Contact our Employer Engagement Specialist at 936-294-1712
• Interviews scheduled via Bearkats Get Hired
• Employers must follow EEO laws and NACE standards
• Open and pre-select scheduling options available
• Interviews conducted Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM during fall/spring semesters

Cancellations:

• Employers must notify us promptly of any changes to their schedules to minimize student disruption.
• Note: The Career Success Center reserves the right to decline participation to any employer not aligned with these policies.
