Minimum Recommended Fields

• Headline
• List Items (minimum of 3), each of which consists of:
  • List Item Headline
  • List Item Description

Recommended Character Limits

• Headline: Maximum of 35 characters
• Description: Maximum of 400 characters
• List Item Headline: Maximum of 30 characters
• List Item Description: Maximum of 500 characters

Text Formatting Allowed

• Headline: Unformatted text
• Description: Unformatted text, allows line breaks
• List Item Headline: Unformatted text
• List Item Description: Allows ordered and unordered lists, bold, italics, and links

Where You Can Use It

The Featured List (Standard) component can only be used on full-width pages such as all pages on the Sam Houston Memorial Museum & Presidential Library site and the SHSU Physicians site, as well as SHSU.edu program pages and select landing pages.

Use Cases

The Featured List (Standard) component allows you to share long-form copy in a structured manner. Use it to display text lists in which each list item requires additional supporting copy.
If you want to include a simpler bulleted or numbered list that does not have supporting copy for each list item or longer text passages that aren’t structured as a list, use the WYSIWYG component instead.

If you want to link list items to additional pages or include images alongside the text, consider using the Card Grid component.
