Signature Events
Flu Shot Clinics
The Student Health Center and Student Wellness provide FREE flu shots to all currently enrolled SHSU students. We offer multiple clinics across our Huntsville campus each Fall semester, as well as at The Woodlands Center and College of Medicine.
Fresh Check Day
Through a partnership with the Jordan Porco Foundation and other departments on campus, Student Wellness hosts Fresh Check Day annually to “check-in” on the mental health of students with interactive booths, free food and prizes.
Health Fair
In collaboration with the Department of Kinesiology and other campus partners, each semester Student Wellness hosts a Health Fair to provide students with a wide array of information and activities on many important health topics, including sexual health, alcohol & drugs, nutrition, physical activity and more.
Other Events
Student Wellness offers other programs and events throughout the academic year on a variety of health topics including: Speed Friending, Sammy’s Slumber Party, Sex in the Dark, and more!
