Residence Life Housing Renewal for '24-25 is here!

Thank you for living with us this year! We hope that remaining on campus will continue to enhance your University experience. The videos below will help you to better understand the renewal process and how to renew in the Housing Portal. You should first watch What You Need to Know and then view the Phase 1 or Phase 2 video for step-by-step instructions on renewing. 

Phase 1- Renewal of Same Space: March 4 at 6:00 a.m. - March 5 at 5:00 p.m.
Areas NOT Available for Renewal:

  • Belvin Hall 
  • Elliott Hall 
  • Lone Star (Floors 1 & 2)
  • Piney Woods (Floors 4-6)
  • Raven Village (Parts of Floors 2 & 3)
  • San Jacinto (Floor 2)
  • White Hall

Phase 2- Renewal of Any Available Space: March 7 at 6:00 a.m. - March 8 at 5:00 p.m.
Areas Available for Renewal:

  • Copper Village
  • Bearkat Village
  • Elliott Hall (limited spots available for CAM Majors)
  • Jackson-Shaver
  • San Jacinto Studios

With limited availability in every residence hall building, spots are filling up fast. Rooms are available on a first-come first-served basis. Selection will be available through March 8th at 5:00 p.m. OR until we have met the 900 maximum reservations.

Jackson-Shaver

Jackson-Shaver has undergone a year-long renovation and will be back open as single rooms only & include full-size beds. 

Belvin Closure

Belvin Hall will be closed for renovations for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. CAM majors will still be able to stay in nearby Elliott Hall & still utilize the Creative Community space located on the ground floor of Belvin.


Major Renovations

  1. Jackson-Shaver received replacement of cast iron pipe throughout building, replacement of bathroom fixtures & flooring, update to office areas, & update of lobby space
  2. Belvin-Buchanan will receive during summer 2024 to summer 2025: replacement of cast iron pipe throughout building, replacement of bathroom fixtures and flooring, painting of building interior, replacement of flooring in corridors, roof replacement, adding a second graduate assistant apartment, update to CAM space to include a second classroom and additional space for creative projects.
