Climbing Center

Unleash your inner adventurer at our state-of-the-art Climbing Center located inside the Rec. Choose from two exhilarating climbing experiences:

  • Climb our wall: Test your strength and skill on our climbing wall, featuring a variety of routes for all skill levels.
  • Explore bouldering: Challenge yourself with bouldering, a form of climbing without ropes or harnesses, on our specially designed bouldering area.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is always on hand to provide guidance and ensure your safety.

Climbing is FREE after admission to the Rec Center

Special Group Climbing

Climbing is a safe, fun way to get to know people, establish teamwork and build self confidence. If your organization would like to rent the wall, please contact the Outdoor Recreation department at 936-294-1778.

Don't have your own equipment?

No Problem!

The Climbing Center can provide you with all the gear to enjoy a day on the wall. Harnesses, chalk, and climbing shoes are provided with a day or semester pass.
