SHSU offers career success using Handshake. Handshake is an online career management system for students, alumni, and employers. The Handshake platform serves as a job board and professional networking site connecting SHSU students and alumni to jobs, internships, career events, and presentations hosted by the Career Success Center. Handshake is used by over 650,000 employers, including all Fortune 500 companies! Thousands of job and internship opportunities are posted on Handshake by employers specifically looking to hire students and alumni.
Alumni looking for employment through the SHSU Career Success Center will need to create a Handshake account. Go to www.joinhandshake.com and select Sam Houston State University as your school choice. - You can create an account or link with your employer and start registering for career fairs, post jobs, and request rooms for on-campus interviews.
- Make sure to fill out your Company Profile as completely as possible for students to review.
- Make sure the email address you provide is your official business email account, such as YourName@yourCompanyName.com
