M365 Email: Delays in Receiving Email

If you are experience delays in receiving email with the Outlook application on your Windows desktop device, follow these steps.

Open Outlook. 

  1. Select Send/Receive from the ribbon.
  2. Select Send/Receive Groups
  3. Select Define Send/Receive Groups

Select Define Send Receive Groups

In the Send/Receive Groups options,

  1. In the Setting for group "All Accounts" section, check the box for Schedule an automatic send/receive every and change the time to 1 minute.
  2. In the When Outlook is Offline section, check the box for Schedule an automatic send/receive every and change the time to 1 minute.
  3. Select Close.

Schedule Auto Send Receive

Close and restart Outlook once this change is made.
