LastPass Business: Add Passwords

If you are signed into your LastPass Business account and have it linked to your LastPass Personal account, you can save passwords to either account when signed into to your LastPass Business account. To add a password to your LastPass account, select one of the options below.

  • Add Password to Default Location
    1. Select the LastPass icon in the upper right corner of your browser. If the LastPass icon is dark gray, you are not signed in. If the icon is red, you are already signed in.
    2. Enter your SHSU email address in the email address field.
    3. Select Log in

    Once you are signed in, the LastPass icon will display red.

    2.Signed In

    Visit the website whose credentials you want to save in LastPass Business and follow the websites steps for signing in. In the example below, we entered the

    1. Email address or mobile number used for the website.
    2. The password.
    3. Then Log in.

    3.Page Sign In

    In the upper right corner of the browser, a LastPass box will display. Select the Add button. LastPass will save the sign in information.

    4.SelectAdd

    You can view the website information for your saved passwords in the LastPass vault. To access that, select the LastPass icon in the browser and select Open My Vault.

    6.Open Vault

    Your LastPass vault will now be displayed.

  • Add Password to Different Folder
    1. Select the LastPass icon in the upper right corner of your browser. If the LastPass icon is dark gray, you are not signed in. If the icon is red, you are already signed in.
    2. Enter your SHSU email address in the email address field.
    3. Select Log in

    Once you are signed in, the LastPass icon will display red.

    2.Signed In

    Visit the website whose credentials you want to save in LastPass Business and follow the websites steps for signing in. By default, LastPass will add the sign in information to a general folder or a folder based on the type of website it is. For example, if the website is a financial institution like a bank, LastPass will save the information in a Finance folder. If you would like to review or update the folder LastPass is saving the information to, follow the steps below.

    In the upper right corner of the browser, a LastPass box will display. Select the edit button to view the sign in information and made edits if necessary.

    Select Password Options

    If you selected the edit button to review the credentials, you can

    1. Confirm the username.
    2. Confirm the password.
    3. Select the down arrow in the Folder section to review or change which folder the credentials are saved to.
    4. Our example below shows us changing the location to our personal LastPass account instead of the Business account.

    Select Folder for Password

    Once the folder is determined, select Add.

    You can view the website information for your saved passwords in the LastPass vault. To access that, select the LastPass icon in the browser and select Open My Vault.

    6.Open Vault

    Your LastPass vault will now be displayed.
