  • Who do I contact if I am having trouble using Blackboard for an online class?

    SHSU Online provides support for Blackboard, SHSU's campus learning management system. 

  • What software is available for learning remotely? (i.e. Office, MatLab)

    NOTE: You do not have to use Remote Desktop Connection to access this software. 

  • Tools for Off-Site Resources

    My Gartner

    Sam Houston State University is now offering access to resources from Gartner (, a leading information technology firm that provides research and analysis services to inform and support decision making in higher education. The campus-wide subscription includes resources for faculty, staff, and students.

    • Magic Quadrants - A series of research reports aimed at providing customers with a qualitative analysis into a particular market and its direction, maturity, and participants.
    • Hype Cycles - Graphic representations of maturity and adoption of technologies and applications which help discern technology hype from what’s actually viable.
    • Special Reports - Gartner Special Reports are time-sensitive research reports focused on key issues in technology.
    • Complimentary Research - Regularly updated selections of cutting-edge research from Gartner analysts.
