In Person vs Virtual Interviews
During Spring 2021, all faculty interviews will be conducted remotely. Student worker, staff, and executive staff interviews may be conducted in person if the department head and all applicants are available and agree. For equity among all applicants, the interview process for any job search must be conducted via the same format for every candidate interviewed.
Benefits-Related Tax Documents
Form 1095-B and HSA tax forms are prepared by your medical plan provider. Login to your medical plan account to access your tax documents. Form 1095-C & Form W-2 are prepared by the Payroll Office and will be available at separate times this year.
Former Employee Tax Forms
Former employees will receive their 1095-C & W-2s through the mail. W-2s will be mailed by Jan 31, while 1095-C will be mailed by Feb 28.
SHSU has chosen to extend availability of Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) Leave to employees, which provides full time employees up to 80 hours of emergency paid sick leave for eligible COVID-19 conditions between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021. Part-time employees may receive leave on a pro-rated basis. Additionally, employees experiencing child care concerns may apply for expanded family medical leave.
COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage
All ERS health plans cover COVID-19 vaccination at 100%. The COVID-19 vaccination is now available in Texas, although when and where you can get it varies throughout the state.
Student Work Limits
The 28‐hour limit applies cumulatively to all hourly student positions held by each student employee.
