Summer Enrollment

Summer Enrollment is the once-a-year opportunity for employees to make changes to insurance benefits and/or TexFlex spending accounts without a qualifying life event (QLE). Each year your benefits statement will be mailed to you. If you have moved, please update your ERS insurance mailing address to receive your benefits statement and insurance cards, if new ones are distributed.

Summer enrollment dates are from June 21 through July 23, 2021.

To make Summer Enrollment insurance changes, the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) has designated Monday, June 28 through Saturday, July 10, 2021, as dates SHSU employees may make insurance changes to their ERS On-Line account. This is an online process. Human Resources (HR) staff is here to answer questions via telephone or zoom.
