What is the Freshmen Leadership Program?

FLP at SHSU offers incoming first-year freshmen the chance to participate in a rich series of learning opportunities designed to test, refine, & further develop their respective leadership interests and abilities.

To be considered for the Freshmen Leadership Program:

Applicants must have obtained a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale. In addition to being accepted to the University, they also must submit the following application materials:

  • Complete a general Scholarships4Kats application
  • FLP Application
  • Resume
  • Essay (prompt to be found on the application)
