Student Status

Residency

Does the student qualify as a resident of the state of Texas? See admissions site for residency requirements. If so, that student would be considered a Texas Resident. Students not classified as a Texas Resident are considered to have Out of State or International Residency. How you're classified is important because it determines whether or not you pay out of state tuition or in-state tuition.

Class Type and Credit Hours

How will you take your class hours?

Campus classes are those taken at one of SHSU's campus locations. Campus classes may be offered as face-to-face, split week, or flex delivery. Split week and flex deliveries are scheduled with both on campus and online class times.

Online classes are those taken entirely over the internet and are labeled as an online class in the catalog.

Select both if you are taking a mix of campus and online classes.
