Students have control of how they receive refunds from SHSU. Refunds may include but are not limited to: excess financial aid money, dropped class refunds, or Residence Housing deposits. Sam Houston State University has partnered with BankMobile to deliver your financial aid refund and provide you with your official School ID card. Students have two options for receipt of refunds:
- DEPOSIT TO AN EXISITING ACCOUNT – Money is transferred to an existing account the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school. Typically, it takes 1 – 2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to your account.
- DEPOSIT TO A BANKMOBILE VIBE ACCOUNT – If you open a BankMobile Vibe checking account (upon identity verification), money is deposited the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school.
Both options are free to students.
We recommend students select the refund method that works best for them.
