A few attractions include not only the University’s own Sam Houston Memorial Museum and Republic of Texas Presidential Library, but also the Sam Houston Statue and Visitor’s Center, and the Huntsville State Park. SHSU Internal Community
SHSU could be considered a community within the Huntsville community. While there is plenty to do in the Huntsville Community, SHSU offers a plethora of ways to become involved as well. Faculty Senate, Employee Resource Groups, University Camp, Professional and Academic Center for Excellence (PACE), or serving on various University committees are just a few ways to become involved.
SHSU prides itself on Faculty and Student Success. The Professional and Academic Center for Excellence (PACE) has resources available to help you achieve academic excellence. They offer mini-session, semester long and one day workshops to assist you. Another great resource is the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) who partners with faculty on sponsored projects.
