The Bearkat Promise is SHSU’s commitment to making college more accessible for Texas students with financial need. This program guarantees eligible students enough grant funding to cover mandatory tuition and fees for up to 15 credit hours each semester, so you can focus on your education, not your expenses. If you qualify, the Bearkat Promise ensures that your financial aid package includes the support you need to stay on track and graduate on time.
