Greetings, parents and professionals in the Region 6 area. My name is Sabrina Thompson. I am the new Region 6 Coordinator for Partners Resource Network PATH Project. I have replaced Gail Wright, which will be some tough shoes to fill. But I will do what I can to make sure our region is served to the best of my ability. I am here to serve parents of children with disabilities.
Partners Resource Network is the Parent Training and Information Center for your area, funded through the Department of Education Office of Special Education.
I am here to help parents:
- Better understand their child's disability
- Understand state and federal education laws
- Learn about options, programs, services, and resources
- Participate fully as a team member with professionals in planning services for their children
- Communicate more effectively with professionals
- Provide follow-up support for educational programs
We provide free workshops, training, information, and referrals to parents and professionals who work with children with disabilities ages birth through 26.
I am excited to work with you as we assist families of children with disabilities in our community. I would love to speak with you about how I can be of service to you and the families you serve.
