The mission of the Interfraternity Council at Sam Houston State University is to provide a resource that exemplifies the general well-being of fraternal brotherhood of all chapters through philanthropy, judicial review and the promotion of Greek Life as a whole.

Core Values:

  • PHILANTHROPY: Building relationships in the community by promoting the common good of others while providing for their general welfare.
  • TEAMWORK: Men of different temperaments, talents and convictions coming together through open communication to make a positive difference.
  • ORGANIZATIONAL GROWTH: Making the Interfraternity Council a larger and more productive organization by leading to new heights…building on leadership, networking and character for future achievement and advancement.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY: The full cooperation of every fraternity adhering to and executing the expectations and standards that one should be held responsible for, regardless of criticism and the nature of any circumstances.
  • COMMITMENT: Challenging ourselves and others to use heart and mind to accomplish all endeavors presented before us.
