Meal Plans & Bearkat Bucks
A meal plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more at 18 locations across campus. Your meal plan includes Meal Swipes and Bearkat Bucks, conveniently loaded onto your Bearkat OneCard. Dining on campus isn’t one size fits all so our meal plans were designed to meet your unique needs. Bearkat Bucks can be purchased anytime throughout the semester.
Resident Meal Plans
Students living on campus, except at Bearkat Village, are required to purchase a Resident Meal Plan. Bearkat Bucks can be reloaded anytime throughout the semester.
Choice 1: All Access + $125 in Bearkat Bucks (unlimited dining hall access)
Cost Per Semester: $2,325
Choice 2: 20 meals per week + $175 in Bearkat Bucks
Cost Per Semester: $2,220
Choice 3: 15 meals per week + $225 in Bearkat Bucks
Cost Per Semester: $2,185
Commuter Meal Plans
Students living off campus may choose from any meal plan (both Residents and Commuter option available). Bearkat Bucks can be reloaded anytime throughout the semester. With these plans, you can enter the dining hall multiple times per meal period and can swipe in friends.
Bearkat Flex Plan: Any 110 meals per semester plus $300 in Bearkat Bucks
Cost Per Semester: $1,180
Bearkat Value Plan: Any 70 meals per semester plus $300 in Bearkat Bucks
Cost Per Semester: $900
Bearkat Lite Plan: Any 30 meals per semester plus $300 in Bearkat Bucks

Career Success Center
When you need help becoming career-ready or developing your career path, make an appointment with SHSU Career Success Center. You can schedule a variety of career-focused services including resume critiquing, mock interviewing, and job/internship-searching. Career fairs are offered throughout the year.
Bearkats Get Hired, partnered with Handshake, is SHSU’s online job database. You will find a multitude of part-time, full-time, on-campus, off-campus, and internship opportunities. Work-study programs are also available through Financial Aid.
Reba Bock Career Closet
Need professional-looking clothes? The Career Closet is located inside Tripod's Thrift, provides access to business attire for job interviews or career fairs to students, 100% free.
Student Money Management Center (SMMC)
The SMMC is a financial outreach and educational program to help you achieve financial independence. The SMMC provides workshops, presentations, and private consultations on a variety of topics including fee statements, financial aid packages, reducing debt, and applying for SNAP and TANF.
The Elliott T. Bowers Honors College
The Honors College community fosters individual growth, academic success, and public service. Engage with like-minded students, develop long-lasting mentorships with professors, and benefit from an Honors staff ready to support and serve you.
Student Legal & Mediation Services (SLMS)
The SLMS has an experienced attorney on staff dedicate to informing currently enrolled students about their legal rights and responsibilities. Consultation is available for a wide range of topics, such as traffic violations, landlord-tenant concerns, child support, and criminal law. SLMS also offers notary and background report services.

Provides state-of-the-art, cost-effective printing options for a wide range of materials, including brochures, posters, magazines, flyers, and more, for all your course-related needs.
