Suspension/Probation - Returning
Additional Requirements for Suspended or Probation Students
A returning student placed on academic probation during their last semester at SHSU will be readmitted on academic probation regardless of whether the student has since attended another institution. Students who have not attended SHSU for more than one calendar year must reapply for admission.
Requirements:
- Minimum GPA: Combined grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher on all transferable hours.
- Returning from Academic Probation: Readmission from suspension must be approved by the academic dean of the college to which the student will enroll at the time of their readmission. Submit Dean's approval form to the Office of Admissions by the admissions application deadline.
See Academic Policy Statement 910312, Section 5 for full details.
