About the New York Senior Showcase

The New York Senior Showcase provides a transitional opportunity for graduating musical theatre majors to audition for and interview with New York talent agents in association with The Growning Studio of New York. We’re pleased to present our graduating BFA Musical Theatre majors in their Showcase. Thank you spending time with this next generation of theatre artists.

About the Houston Senior Showcase

The Houston Senior Showcase provides a transitional opportunity for graduating Acting/Directing and Musical Theatre majors to showcase in front of the Houston Theatre Community. We’re pleased to present our graduating BFA Theatre emphasis in Acting/Directing and BFA Musical Theatre majors in their Houston Showcase hosted at Stages Theatre on May 8th at 6pm. Mya Bryant

Mya Bryant (she/her) was born and raised in Houston, TX. After failing at nearly every sport, she found a passion for theatre. A dancing diva with a big heart, Mya grounds her performances by relating them to her personal life experiences. Outside of performing she enjoys writing music on her ukelele, attempting roller skating tricks and keeping up with the latest Tik Tok dance trends. Caden Casey (He/Him) a Rhinestone Cowboy with a caring heart and a lust for making people laugh, is from Bastrop, Texas. He first fell in love with the stage in middle school during his performance of Peter Pan where he left audiences cackling from his role as Captain Hook. Brandon Collins(He/Him) Is your go to guy! Your comic yet melodramatic and serious best friend. His love for performing began in the church as well as 2nd grade where he first was introduced to orchestra and began learning violin. Sunday was always the best day because he got to sing his heart out, and he has ever since never missed a moment to be on the stage sharing his love with audiences. Outside of theater he loves to binge dystopian, and horror films! Colton Daniel started his theatre journey in theatre very late, during his senior year of high school. Now of course, he can't imagine his life with theatre and music. Off stage, his favorite hobbies are playing video games, Magic: The Gathering, and D&D, as well as overanalyzing music. His favorite credits are Huey in Memphis and Pirelli in Sweeney Todd. After graduation, Colton will return to Austin for a while just to see where life takes him.

Cara DeGaish (she/her), her spark for Musical Theatre and storytelling started at a young age in her Siti’s living room watching The Sound of Music every week while making Syrian bread, grape leaves, or just a good sandwich! She most recently received two awards (in two separate fields) for her artistry at KCACTF, and participated at the national level with The Institute for Theatre Journalism and Advocacy. Glendaliris Torres Greaux (she/her/hers)  is a Boricua, brassy, belter who was born and raised in Puerto Rico. At the young age of 7, her family moved to Texas to seek better opportunities.To speak English more fluently, her mother put her in theatre camps as a way to help her break out of her shell and ever since, she has not been afraid to be on that stage! When not performing, Glendaliris is busy talking about Puerto Rico and playing Fortnite. Elliett Hanes (she/her) is the product of two performers who exposed her to performing at the ripe age of 7. From the moment she hit the stage, she fell in love with being a performer. This girl grew up singing and dancing her heart out while planting her roots in a small, country town. When she’s not performing, you can find her hiking all the trails, playing card games, and jamming so hard to country music! Credits include Violet (Young Violet), 365 Days, 365 Plays (Sergeant/Ensemble), A Doctor in Spite of Himself (Thibaut), and Green Day’s American Idiot (Ensemble).

Macy Herrera (She/her) began her love for Musical Theatre when she was cast as Cinderella in her middle school production of Into The Woods. Little did she know it was only the start of her princess path! Since then she has been working regionally in Houston portraying characters that range from rebellious rock stars to popstar princesses. Ainsley Hylton

Ainsley Hylton is a current resident of (and currently sweating in) Houston, Texas. A natural-born entertainer, he lives for people’s laughter and smiles so Musical Theatre was definitely the best fit! Fresh from Main Street Theatre’s production of the Lightning Thief musical his favorite credits include Daniel Beauxhomme in “Once On This Island” and above all Tunny in “American Idiot”. He loves to channel his boundless energy into creating, whether that’s in theatre or crafting, painting, and sewing. Rayevin Johnson (she/her) is a native Houstonian who has had a burning passion for theatre since the age of four. She has a fiery and spunky personality, and is always down to have a good time. She loves making everyone laugh and cry! Recently, she has been putting smiles and tears on people’s faces in the Houston theater scene. When she’s not in rehearsal, you can catch Rayevin singing at Michael's outpost in ‘The Broads Way’ from time to time. Through it all, Brandon will be receiving his B.F.A in Musical Theatre. Drew Ritch is a performer born and raised in the Houston area. After seeing the national tour of Wicked in 2009, he fell in love with performing. He recently closed 365 Plays/365 Days by Suzan Lori-Parks at Sam Houston State University, where he will be graduating with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. His credits include: Airness (Announcer/Sprite Executive/Swing); Hands on a Hardbody (Mike Ferris); and Violet (Virgil/Billy Dean/Ensemble).
