Rebecca Mills

Rebecca Mertins is the Lead Clinical Coordinator in the Department of Clinical Education at Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Rebecca Mertins is originally from Georgia. She grew up north east of Atlanta and went to school in south east Georgia at Georgia Southern University. Rebecca received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development, worked as a teacher and therapist for children with special needs then transitioned into her first role for the College of Osteopathic Medicine as an admissions counselor before transitioning to Lead Clinical Coordinator in 2021.  

Rebecca chose SHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine because of Sam Houston’s longstanding legacy of service. The motto, “The measure of a Life is it’s Service” drew her in and the people truly living out that motto made her stay.
