Assistant Professor of Statistics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Sam Houston State University is accepting applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Statistics beginning Fall 2018. Review begins the second week of November 2017 and continues until the positions are filled. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Statistics or closely related field at the time of appointment. Excellent communications skills, a strong commitment to quality teaching, scholarly and research activities, and service are expected. Excellence in teaching is required at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Sam Houston State University, located in Huntsville, Texas, has approximately 20,000 students and 900 faculty. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics has 29 tenure/tenure track faculty.
