The Department of Victim Studies within the College of Criminal Justice equips current and future victim service professionals with the tools needed to help restore survivors’ feelings of safety, choice, and control. Our faculty and instructors are subject matter experts in many different areas of victimization, as well as experience working directly in field. Our faculty are actively involved in research, advocacy, and community engagement in Huntsville, the State of Texas, nationally, and internationally.
Through courses that are grounded in research and real-world applications, students learn how to support survivors, promote healing, and advocate for safer communities.
