Victim Services Management Excellence

SHSU’s MS in Victim Services Management is a fully online, 36-credit graduate program designed to prepare professionals to support and advocate for victims of crime. The program focuses on trauma-informed care, legal advocacy, grant writing and research, and the management of victim services programs. Graduates are equipped to lead victim support organizations, work in agencies providing services to victims, and influence public policy for victim rights.

Courses are tailored for those working in or entering victim services, including roles in shelters, advocacy organizations, law enforcement, and the justice system. With a flexible online format, students can balance coursework with professional responsibilities. All courses are offered online in 7.5-week sessions, allowing students to complete the accelerated program in just one calendar year with a full course load (2 courses per term) or complete the program on a traditional two-year plan (1 course per term), if desired.
