Earn Your DO+MPH and Expand Your Impact

SHSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and College of Health Sciences offer a concurrent DO/MPH program for students interested in both clinical care and public health. This dual degree allows you to earn both your Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Public Health in just 4–5 years, saving time compared to completing them separately. Through community engagement, research, clinical rotations, and collaboration with public health professionals, you’ll gain a broader perspective on healthcare and leadership. Prepare to make a greater impact on the health of individuals, families, and entire communities.

Where and How Is This Program Available?

The DO degree is a four-year program. The first two years are completed in person at SHSU-COM’s Conroe campus, focusing on foundational medical sciences. The third and fourth years are completed through clinical clerkships at assigned sites across Texas, providing students with valuable hands-on experience in diverse healthcare settings. MPH courses can be taken online or in person on SHSU’s Huntsville campus during the summer months, offering flexible options to complete the degree while pursuing the DO.
