The Critical Infrastructure Protection Graduate Certificate at SHSU is an 18-credit program that equips students with practical skills to identify vulnerabilities and develop protection strategies against natural and man-made threats. Ideal for those working in homeland security, public safety, or infrastructure management, the certificate enhances career opportunities in protecting key facilities and services that support national security and community resilience.

​The certificate is structured to allow students to complete the program in one calendar year, enrolling in two courses per semester.

​Completion of the online Graduate Certificate also puts students halfway to receiving a Master of Science in Homeland Security Studies.​
