Students can specialize in one of several areas of biology, from cell and molecular biology, genetics, and microbiology to ecology, parasitology, and animal behavior. Two degree plans are available: Plan 1, a 30-hour biology-focused track with a thesis, and Plan 2, a 39-hour option that combines biology with 12 hours in a supporting field. Both paths prepare students for doctoral study or advanced professional work in science, education, or government.
