Minimum System Requirements

Chromebooks/Tablets/Smartphones are not compatible with all academic software.  The following system requirements are recommended when enrolled in the SHSU School of Nursing.

• PC Users

  Operating System	Windows 10
  Available Hard Drive Space/Type	256GB with at least 15 GB free/recommend SSD or Flash
  Memory	8GB RAM
  Processor	Minimum of Intel I5/AMD Ryzen 5
  Hardware	Microphone, Keyboard, Mouse, Web Camera, Speakers/Headset
  Web Browser	MS Edge, Chrome, Firefox (latest versions)
  Internet Speed	Upload:  1Mbps or above, Download:  5 Mbps or below
  Web Camera	Suggestion:  students use the embedded web camera in laptop or any standard web cam purchased and manufactured within the last 5 years.

• MAC Users

  Operating System	MAC 10.14 - 10.15
  Available Hard Drive Space/Type	256GB or more with at least 15 GB free/SSD or Flash
