Bio

Hope Jackson is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Nursing at Sam Houston’s School of Nursing in The Woodlands, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (1999) from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, in addition to a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Creighton University (2000), a Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health track (2005), and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (2015) in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Jackson has taught psychiatric mental health nursing for the past 15 years and most recently courses in Health Disparities in African Americans. She has served as faculty in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Her affiliations are with the American Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the Black Doctoral Network. Dr Jackson’s research focus is health behaviors of African American women.
