  • Access New Hire Resources

    Visit the Sam Houston State University “Getting Started” page to complete your HR required onboarding documents.

  • Purchase a Parking Permit

    To purchase an on campus parking permit you will need to complete the following steps:

    • Verify with the department administrative assistant which pass to request, there are different Zones (1, 2, and 3) and sides (East or West)
    • Visit the SHSU Parking website.
    • Select Login then SHSU Parking Login and use your SHSU credentials to login.
    • Select Permits, Buy ePermit, then follow the 7 steps to request a parking pass.

  • Request IT Support

    IT@Sam has many resources to assist you in resolving technology-related problems.  If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the Service Desk by phone 936-294-HELP (4-4357), e-mail servicedesk@shsu.edu, or start a chat session on our Live Support site.

    You can submit an IT request by visiting the IT@Sam Self Service Page.

    IT@Sam also assists with account creation, software, computer, telephone, or other IT issues/requests 

  • Request Keys and Access Cards

    All key and card request are processed through SamWeb and are issued for the purpose of conducting University business only. If you need both card access and a physical key, you will need to submit separate requests. Talk with your supervisor to determine what you need.

    Visit the Building Access Services page to start the process.

    Once on the Building Access Services page,

    • Under the Facilities Customer Service section
    • Select User Menu then Request Key
    • You will need to ask the department administrative assistant which FOP will be used for this request.
    • Follow the additional steps to complete key request
    • If receiving a physical key, pick up location is at Sam South, 2424 Sam Houston Avenue Huntsville, TX 77340. Key pick up is behind the University Police Department. You will need your ID.
  • Request your Bearkat One Card

    The Bearkat OneCard is the official ID of Sam Houston State University. The Bearkat OneCard signifies your status as an active member of the Sam Houston State University community, serving as your official identification card and much more. You may request your Bearkat OneCard in person or online. A valid government or state issued photo ID is required in order to request your Bearkat OneCard. 

    Visit the Bearkat OneCard Services page to begin the process.

  • Request a Mass Email

    Looking to request a mass email for your department or program? Please send the required information via email to the COHS Communications Specialist, Karen Leonhart, at Kleonhart@shsu.edu

    SHSU Mass Email Required Information:

    • Subject Line
    • Who will be receiving this email?
    • What name will appear as the sender?
    • What email address is used for the sender? (Must be a SHSU email)
    • What email address will receive the replies for this email? (Must be a SHSU email)
    • When did you want this email sent? (Please allow a 3 day notice in order for approvals and design.) 
    • Is there anything else we should know about this email?
    • Please include any images, links, or documents associated with your request.
  • Request Business Cards and Letterhead

    • Go to the Print Services page.
    • Select Order Stationery Online
    • You can select and of the premade options to order Business cards, envelopes, letterhead, etc.
  • Request Driving Permit
    • Go to shsu.edu and under the Campus Tools drop down select MySam.
    • Use your SHSU credentials to login.
    • On the left-hand side go to the Employees tab
    • Once on the Employees View, on the bottom right is the Facilities Customer Service section, select Request Driving Permit
    • The request will open in a new tab, fill in the requested information and submit.
  • Request Maintenance

    Facilities provides the following services:

    •  Estimates
    •  Maintenance
    •  Move & Haul Services
    •  Shredding Pickup
    •  After Hours Access

    In order to submit a maintenance request:

    • Go to shsu.edu and under the Campus Tools drop down select MySam.
    • If on a campus computer, you should automatically be signed in. If not, use your SHSU credentials to login.
    • On the left-hand side go to the Employees tab
    • Once on the Employees tab, on the bottom right is the Facilities Customer Service section.
    • Under the Facilities Customer Service section select Submit Work Request
    • It will bring up a new tab where you can select Create Request to complete a request
