Profile

Dr. Jesswein received both his Ph.D. degree in International Business and Finance and his M.I.B. degree (Master in International Business) degree from the University of South Carolina. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. He has previously taught at Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas and Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.

His current research interests focus on the implications of changing accounting and reporting regulations on the financial reporting of both financial and nonfinancial firms. He has also published numerous papers as well as several case studies on the financial health of financial institutions, on financial risk management, and various other international finance and banking topics. He currently serves as the editor for the Academy of Banking Studies Journal.

Dr. Jesswein teaches Financial Statement Analysis and International Finance at both the graduate and undergraduate levels as well as the Bank Risk Management course in the Executive MBA program.
