Registration

NASSR 2023, “Romanticism and Justice,” will take place at Sam Houston State University from March 30-April 1, 2023. For planning purposes, the registration form will ask whether you will be attending in-person or virtually. The registration rate is the same for in-person and virtual attendance.

Virtual attendees will have access to all online panels and workshops, all four plenary addresses, and a film screening. All conference panels will be either fully in-person or fully online, not hybrid.

In addition to your main conference registration, you may select additional tickets for seminars and other events. Please register for only one seminar as space is limited.

There will be two and a half days of online panels, workshops, and seminars for virtual attendees. All plenaries will be live streamed as well as Friday night’s concert of Romantic guitar music. Virtual attendees will also have access to a new feature-length documentary on John Lane and Allen Otte’s performance piece, The Innocents. All technology fees are included.

In-person attendees are invited to participate in pre-conference day plenaries, workshops and seminars, and will be given tickets to a live performance of The Innocents. Free vans will carry in-person attendees to the Raven Lodge on Raven Lake in the Huntsville State Park for a sunset dinner and cocktails, sponsored by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. There will be two days of in-person panels, workshops and seminars, and performances on both Friday (Romantic guitar music) and Saturday night (The Song Cycles of Beachy Head) will be open to all attendees. Registration will also cover lunches, receptions, and a banquet dinner on Friday Night, as well as an evening of karaoke and bowling. Saturday’s banquet will be held at a local restaurant, Sam’s Table, near the university and on the old town square of Huntsville (Saturday’s banquet is a separate line item on the registration page).
