Get connected! Find a student organization or club and get involved, there are lots of choices specifically for education majors. The college hosts an Opportunity Fair at the beginning of each semester and all COE students are invited to come and meet representatives from the orgs and learn more about what each has to offer.

COE Ambassadors

The College of Education Ambassadors represent the College of Education at college and university events.

Bilingual Education Student Organization (BESO)

BESO educates people about the importance of bilingualism in education and the workforce. The organization also promotes the bilingual program in the COE.

Sam Houston Student Council for Exceptional Children (SHCEC)

SHCEC ensures and promotes the education of children with exceptionalities including Special Education and the Gifted and Talented are valued and included in all aspects of life.

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP)

Kappa Delta Pi is an International Honor Society for Education students. The organization promotes excellence and advancing scholarship, leadership and service.

Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE)

TAFE encourages organization members to explore careers in education and promote character, service and leadership skills to become effective educators

Sam Houston Association for the Education of Young Children (SHAEYC)

SHAEYC advocates for the needs rights and well-being of young children. The organization focuses on developmental and educational resources to foster growth and development of organization members.

Providing Smiles and Understanding Needs (PSUN)

PSUN provides services to children and adults with medical challenges and their families. PSUN hosts activities and events or individuals in the group
