The Department of Library Science and Technology through excellence in instruction, scholarship and other creative activities, and service to the public, to the profession, and to the community provides professionals with the knowledge, skills, experiences, and dispositions necessary to serve a diverse population within Texas, across the country and globally. The Department of Library Science and Technology also seeks to educate leaders who will transform learning.

The department's programs (Library Science and Instructional Systems Design and Technology) provide graduates with a virtual road map on harnessing technology and the limitless information available to educate and advance the needs of learners across the country and globally.

Presented entirely online and designed to prepare competent professionals. Graduates can earn Master of Library Science degree or School Librarian Certification, Master of Instructional Systems Design and Technology, and Doctorate of Education in Instructional Systems Design and Technology.
