The Reading Specialist Certification is designed for applicants desiring to work as an all-level Reading Specialist. Students must successfully complete a departmental comprehensive and/or portfolio examination before taking the Reading Specialist Exam. Conducted 100% online, the School Librarian Certification program is designed for students who have previously obtained a master's degree and are seeking to become a librarian at PK-12 school level. This program will introduce students to cataloging and classification; policies for school library administration; and principles for selecting recreational yet informative materials for young adults and children. Conducted 100% online, this 21-hour certification program is designed specifically for the current educator who possesses a Master’s Degree in Education and wishes to obtain Principal Certification. The program complies with existing standards for professional certification. An Interactive Practice Exam (IPE) is required during the final semester of coursework.
