Department of Environmental and Geosciences
Real Experience. Real Results
The Department of Environmental and Geosciences is committed to interdisciplinary, innovative, and impactful learning experiences. Our program blends fieldwork, laboratory research, community partnership, and applied research projects to enhance the student experience beyond the walls of the classroom.
Students will have the opportunity to engage closely with faculty-led research and field experiences. We are committed to preparing students for the next step after graduation through meaningful and hands-on learning opportunities—whether working in the industry, monitoring ecosystems, exploring human-environment dynamics, or using GIS technology for geospatial planning and analysis.
Our mission is to foster critical thinking, scientific literacy, and environmental stewardship while providing hands-on experience that makes students competitive for careers in industry, government, consulting, education, and graduate study.
