Janella K. Baxter is an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University. She works in the history and philosophy of science. Specifically, Dr. Baxter examines ongoing debates in the field of molecular biology and genetics to unearth the nature of scientific progress and advise scientific communities on the ethical and political considerations of their work. Dr. Baxter is passionate about teaching Philosophy of Science and Philosophy of Biology, where students learn to think deeply and critically about what makes science trustworthy.
