Dr. April L. O’Brien
April L. O’Brien is an Associate professor at Sam Houston State University. Her research and teaching interests include public memory, countermemory, technical and professional communication, and social justice. She has published in Rhetroric Society Quarterly, Technical Communication Quarterly, Technical Communication, and other journals as well. Her coauthored book, Countermemory: A Rhetoric of Resistance, was published in February 2025 with the University of Alabama Press. She is available at aprilobrien@shsu.edu.
