Finance and Banking Degrees
Students may pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance or in Banking and Financial Institutions, along with minors that enhance specialized knowledge, strengthen professional skills, and support career readiness across the financial sector.
Finance
The Finance program provides students with a strong foundation in financial decision-making across firms, markets, and individuals. Through a rigorous and applied curriculum, students develop analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills that are highly valued in the industry.
Students customize their degree by selecting one of three concentrations:
- Investments – Focuses on portfolio management, securities analysis, and asset valuation.
- Financial Planning – Prepares students for careers in personal wealth management and financial advisory services.
- Financial Management – Emphasizes corporate financial decision-making, including capital budgeting, financial analysis, and firm valuation.
Banking and Financial Institutions (BAFI)
The Banking and Financial Institutions program prepares students for leadership roles in banks, regulatory agencies, and a wide range of financial organizations. The curriculum emphasizes commercial lending, risk management, regulatory compliance, and financial services leadership.
Those completing BAFI as a standalone major may choose a Commercial Real Estate concentration, gaining specialized knowledge in real estate finance, investment, and development within a banking context.
Students have the opportunity to pursue a double major in Finance and Banking and Financial Institutions, leveraging shared coursework to efficiently complete both degrees. This integrated option broadens financial expertise, enhances analytical skill development, and expands career opportunities across the financial sector.
