The Stock Horse Team is open to all students with an interest in the stock horse disciplines- ranch reining, ranch pleasure, ranch riding, and cow work. The team travels several times per semester to compete at local stock horse shows, including the Navario series. The team practices once per week as a team, but team members are welcome to ride together on other evenings. Members provide their own horses and are welcome to either haul in for weekly practice or to board the horse at the SHSU indoor arena. Members also participate in volunteer and community service projects with the Horsemen’s Association.
