Industrial Education

Industrial education certification prepares individuals to teach at the junior high or senior high level in the public schools. Technology teachers instruct students in academic and hands-on laboratory courses pertinent to our industrial society. These courses overview the major technological aspects of today's society including, but not limited to areas of, graphics communications, electronic communications, manufacturing and production of industrial goods, residential and commercial construction techniques, and computer applications.

Prepares students to teach career technology education in public schools. The program includes classes in pedagogy (art of teaching) and courses in specific subject matter selected by the students. Specialty areas can include:

  • Communication Systems
  • Transportation Systems
  • Construction
  • Drafting
