The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) strives to protect our state's public health and natural resources consistent with sustainable economic development. TCEQ licensure programs ensures competency in occupations directly affecting public health and the environment.

- Exam length: 3 hours (Exceptions: Municipal Solid Waste Facility Supervisors, Class A (4 hours); Water Operator, Class A (6 hours); Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator A (6 hours), and Landscape Irrigator (6 hours)

- Valid secondary ID (passport, state-issued ID, military ID, student ID, credit/debit card, etc.)
- Social Security number (required by TCEQ)
- TCEQ approval letter
Scores reports are provided to test candidates after the completion of the exam.
- Test candidates are allowed four attempts in their approval period.
- Only two attempts can be made on the same day with no access to study materials between test sessions.
