SHSU will make a good faith effort to assist VetHUBs to receive opportunities for awards on purchase of construction, professional services, supplies, materials, equipment and services.
It is the policy of Sam Houston State University to encourage equal access and opportunity for all businesses in the State of Texas. SHSU encourages the use of small and Veteran Heroes United in Business (VetHUBs) in the procurement of goods, services, and contract awards. SHSU has adopted the Statewide Procurement Division rules as their own in accordance with Texas Government Code, Chapter 2161.
Contract Awards
The Texas Legislature requires state agencies to make a good faith effort to assist VetHUBs in receiving a portion of the total value of all contracts. SHSU has made a commitment and priority adopt the following State of Texas goals set forth by the Statewide Procurement Division of the Texas State Comptroller’s office.
