​To make things easier, we've created the Bearkats Abroad Portal. It’s your one-stop destination to explore programs, take a personalized matching quiz, and find the experience that fits you best.

​Complete two sets of applications 

• ​Your application through the Bearkat Abroad Portal with your chosen program 

• ​Your application through the Exchange Program, Affiliated Program, or National Student Exchange. Faculty-led programs must only complete the Bearkat Abroad Portal  

​Bearkat Abroad Portal Application Process  

• ​The Bearkat Abroad Portal application has two stages. The first stage is the initial application itself, while the second stage is where students will find the necessary forms that must be completed. Some of the forms required will provide access to your financial aid abroad and scholarship funding offered by the GEC, ensure that your courses will transfer back to SHSU, and support you overall for your studies abroad.
